Making Disciples

About Us

Vision Statement
Memorial Baptist Church and its ministries, as ambassadors for Christ, are passionately devoted to loving God and loving people by making and nurturing disciples through worship, outreach, discipleship, fellowship, and service to expand God's kingdom.

Matthew 22:37-39
Jesus replied, " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."

Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

Let us tell you about some of what God is doing here at Memorial ...
We are conveniently located at I-10 and Veterans Memorial Blvd., so you can get here quickly and easily from anywhere on the East Bank of Jefferson Parish.  We would love for you to come and join in worship with us!  Our Sunday School/Bible Study is at 9:15 am Sunday mornings.  Our Sunday Morning Worship Services begin at 10:30 am.  Our Wednesday Evening Service begins at 6:30 pm.
We have called a new pastor to Memorial Baptist Church.  Dan Pritchett and his wife, Carianne Pritchett accepted God's call to Memorial.  Dan is presently studying at the New Orleans Theological Seminary.  Dan has his bachelor's degree in psychology.  Carianne will be graduating this December with her degree in christian counseling from NOBTS.
One of our goals is to minister to families in the name of Jesus Christ in our community and our campus schools. We have an outstanding Mother's Day Out program and staff that is made available Monday through Friday during the school year, an outstanding Pre-School and Kindergarten, and an outstanding 1st-3rd grade school (MBCS).  Our teachers and administrators are top-notch people who understand that their ministry to children and their families is of the utmost priority.  If you are looking for a good place for your children to be educated, where the goal is academic excellence in a Christian environment, look no further!
If you have any questions, please contact us personally at one of our email addresses below.  We would love to hear from you.  And if you are looking for a place to call home, we would love for you to come and be a part of what God is doing here at Memorial Baptist Church.
